And it's revealing the first big partner, namely Astro, the leading satellite TV provider in Malaysia. So in hopes of making us better citizens, Facebook now lets you declare you're "registered to vote" through a new Timeline event. U.S. residents can use the personalized shortcut link in Facebook's announcement of the feature, or find "Registered To Vote" in the 'Travel & Experiences' category of the Life Events tab on their Timeline's post composer. You can add where and when you registered plus fill in an optional box of details like what party you support to rally your network to cast their vote.


Pocket: 60% iOS 6 Adoption, 20% Of Daily Users Already On iPhone 5

The web content clipping service is already seeing 20% of its daily app traffic coming from the just-released iPhone 5, and 60% coming in from devices with iOS 6 installed. That may sound like a lot, but after Apple announced 100 million iOS devices already updated to iOS 6, and over 5 million iPhone 5s already in the hands of consumers, it's not so much of a stretch.

Facebook ShareOn Saturday, the financial magazine Barron's published a very damaging cover story against Facebook and its business model. The article doesn't break any news about the company, rather it sums up all the negative points that Wall Street has been discussing since Facebook's May IPO, in a way that seems to have struck a chord with Wall Street. The result is yet another difficult day for the stock (NASDAQ:FB). Currently, shares are trading at 9.49 percent below yesterday's price. It rose slightly from a low of 20.36 to 21.07 at 3pm Eastern.


Google Announces Its Third Code-In Contest For High School Students, Starts November 26

GCI-2012-bGoogle today announced that its third Code-in contest for high school students will start on November 26. The contest, which aims to introduce 13-17 year old pre-university students to open source software development, will run from November to mid January and the 20 grand prize winners (and one of their parents or legal guardians) will get a trip to Mountain View to explore the Google campus and meet with Google employees.
